At the first time, I had no interest for choosing hospitality industry to be my future career. But, there is something that I’ve learnt about the basic things needed for this industry since I were seated at junior high school until senior high school, which is serve others. I always join every period of my school student council and at the second period I always became the vice president. Something that driven me to be successful is the willingness to serve other as well my leadership skill. Soon, I realize that I have the passion to serve others and the career that matched with my passion is to be an hotelier. That’s why I choose this career as it’s represent my passion.

As a passionate young person, I believe that I have the core thing needed in this industry, which is the willingness to serve other and the passion for it. All of that things supported by choosing Taylor’s University to be my next step that make me closer to my future career. Study at one of the best hospitality school among ASEAN, ranked as top 30 universities in the world by QS Ranking by subject Hospitality & Leisure Management, really exposed myself to the bigger level. Went through 6 semesters with three industrial trainings (1 extra by my own initiative) made me have a clearer picture about this industry. Equipped with theory which I learnt form class as well as my project, my industrial training and contributing my time and effort in some outreach activities, really made me to develop my skill in relevant to my future career, they are communication skill, leadership skill, and organizational skill. For example, in semester 3's project with my group could be the best among the batch where I were the leader.

With all the skill that I have, my knowledge, and supported with my passion to serve others, made me to have a clear goal for the next seven year after I graduate, which is I want to be a GM. It’s hard but not impossible. To make it reliable, I always dare to challenge myself to be at the best level I can be, whenever it is and wherever it is. Key point for me is never afraid to dream big, keep it positive, think that you can do it and you will, and take action for it. Last but not least, always be thankful of what you’ve get, if it’s a mistake, accept it and learn from it. We are never too old to learn. Stay positive!
